Provider Highlight - Dr Keren Muller
We’re continuing our monthly provider highlight, and this month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Dr. Keren Muller!
Dr. Keren Muller is a graduate of Princeton University and the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. She completed her pediatrics training at Johns Hopkins University. Raised in upstate New York, she moved to Maryland with her husband, a native of Montgomery County, and her son. Keren now has 3 children. She is especially interested in infant care, breastfeeding, nutrition, and child development. She enjoys baking, board games, calligraphy, and tea.
“What I love about being a pediatrician:
I love getting to watch my patients grow and develop over time - some of my patients who I saw when they were first born are now in elementary school. I love helping to keep children healthy and safe; much of my day is focusing on preventing injury and illness, and promoting lifelong healthy habits.
What I love about being a mother:
Many of the same things! I have 3 children, two in elementary school and one in preschool, and I love seeing them grow every day, becoming capable, independent people with a healthy sense of humor. I especially enjoy teaching my children to cook, and playing games with my children.
Favorite areas of interest:
I like to take the time to help families help their children have healthy sleep and eating habits. I have coached many families on sleeping problems to help the whole household get a better night's sleep. I also am a big proponent of childhood literacy and promoting reading at home. We are lucky to live in an area with a great library system, and I always encourage families to visit their local library branch.
Special training:
I am a graduate of Princeton University and the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. I completed my pediatrics training at Johns Hopkins University. I am a board certified pediatrician and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.”
